A painful news has come out from Bareilly district of Uttar Pradesh. Fed up with the harassment of wife and in -laws, a young man committed suicide. The deceased has been identified as 35 -year -old Islam. Who worked in a furniture factory. The family alleges that the wife had filed several cases against Islam and was constantly being made mental and financial pressure on her.
Not only this, the wife had also ordered the court to pay an annual maintenance duty of Rs 2 lakh 80 thousand. Islam was unable to repay this amount. In fact, Islam was married to a girl named Shahana living in the neighborhood about five years ago. The family alleges that she was loyal for the first few months of marriage. But after this, Shahana went to her mother’s house and the dispute started from there. Shahana then filed several cases against Islam one after the other.
Economic burden broke the encouragement
The matter reached the court and ordered to give Rs 2 lakh 80 thousand to Islam as maintenance. Islam was a minor laborer and his income was not enough to give such a huge amount. Despite this, he somehow paid 60 thousand rupees, but for the remaining amount, he was drowning under debt and stress.
Threatened on the way, then raised a dreadful step
On the evening of 5 April, Islam hanged his life. His brother -in -law Nazim alleges that on the same day Shahana, his mother Nasreen and brothers surrounded Islam on the way and threatened to give Rs 25 lakh by selling the house. Threatened that if the money is not given, he would be killed. Islam committed suicide due to this tension.
Family said- Police is not taking action
Islam’s brothers Haseeb and Raees say that Shahna and his family were constantly harassing Islam since marriage. The lawsuit, threats and assaults broke it completely. The family has filed a case against Shahna and her family members at the Kotwali police station. The police have registered a case under Section 108. But no one has been arrested yet. The family is constantly demanding justice from the administration. On the other hand, CO City Pankaj Srivastava said that a case has been registered on the basis of tahrir of the family and the matter is being investigated.
