South Korean automaker Hyundai has launched two new variants of the i20 hatchback, which include the 1.2-litre Asta(O) CVT and the 1.0 Sportz DCT. In which the price of the first variant is Rs 10.51 lakh, while the price of Sportz DCT model has been fixed at Rs 9.76 lakh. The special thing here is that the company has not only launched the new variant but has also updated the feature list of this hatchback.
Till now the Hyundai i20 Asta (O) trim was only offered with a manual gearbox. Currently, with the introduction of the new 1.2 Asta (O) CVT variant, the top-spec model is now offered with an AMT gearbox. In addition to this, the DCT (Dual-clutch Transmission) automatic gearbox is now available with the lower spec Sportz variant as well. To recall, earlier, the DCT was offered on the top-spec Asta trim. And the new Sportz DCT variant is around 1.0 5 lakhs cheaper than the 1.0 Asta DCT.

Hyundai has also updated the feature-list of the Sportz variant. This car is now equipped with AMT AC instead of manual AC. On the other hand, the Sportz DCT variant also comes with cruise control feature, which was earlier limited to the Asta (O) variant. Apart from this, the i20 Asta trim is also equipped with a single pane sunroof as standard. The electric sunroof, on the other hand, was only offered on the 1.0 iMT Asta variant.
However, these variants get a smaller 8-inch touchscreen instead of the 10.25-inch unit. Apart from this, Hyundai has also removed some connected car features from these variants. The car is offered in 3 engine options, which include a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder naturally-aspirated petrol unit producing 83bhp and a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbocharged petrol unit producing 118bhp and a 99bhp. Powered by a 1.5-litre, 4-cylinder turbo-diesel unit.
