The South Korean automaker is trying to improve its electric vehicle portfolio in the Indian market. The company has recently announced that it will launch 6 electric cars in the Indian market in the near future. Now the news is coming that, Hyundai Ioniq 5, the company’s famous electric car available in the global market, will be introduced in the market here with a small battery pack.
According to media reports, the company will present the Ioniq 5 with a 58kWh battery pack, while in the global market this car is also available with a 77.4kWh battery pack. The smaller battery pack model is claimed to offer a typical driving range of up to 354 kms, with prices starting at US$39,700, though the price comes down to just $32,200 after the reduction of electric vehicle tax.
On the other hand, the Ioniq 5 SE, which comes with a larger battery pack, starts at $43,650 and goes down to just $36,150 after tax exemption. Its electric motor is available with both rear drive and front wheel drive layouts. The car will be available for sale in the US early next year with 7 different trims.
Let us tell you that, this is the first car of the company’s electric motor vehicle brand and the company is engaged in expanding its network across the world. Hyundai had showcased this car during the last Auto Expo. Apart from this, the Ioniq 5 was also showcased at the company’s headquarters in Gurugram.
