ICC T20 Rankings: Many teams are currently playing T20 International matches before the T20 World Cup 2024. Pakistan team is on tour to Ireland, where it has captured the three-match series. Pakistan captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan have performed quite well in this series, but even after this, there has been no change in their positions in the new rankings released by the ICC. The ratings have definitely gone down. This should be considered as a blow for Babar Azam and Rizwan.
Suryakumar Yadav number one batsman in ICC T20 rankings
Talking about the new T20 rankings released by ICC, India’s Suryakumar Yadav still holds the number one position. His rating at present is 861. Whereas England batsman Phil Salt has occupied the second position with a rating of 802. Both these players are currently playing for their respective teams in the IPL and are away from international cricket.
Babar and Rizwan suffer slight loss in ratings
Meanwhile, if we talk about Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, their ranking is the same as before, but the rating has changed. Pakistan’s wicket-keeper batsman Mohammad Rizwan is currently ranked third in the ICC T20 rankings with a rating of 781. But in last week’s ranking his rating was 784. If we talk about Babar Azam, his ranking is four and his rating is currently 761, but before that his rating was 763. That means, even if slightly, the ratings have decreased.
Jaiswal also remains in the top 10
South Africa’s Aiden Markram has still managed to retain his place in the top 5 with a rating of 755. On the other hand, India’s Yashasvi Jaiswal is at number 6 with a rating of 714. India has only two batsmen in the top 10. Suryakumar Yadav on first and Yashasvi Jaiswal on 6. Since most of the batsmen are currently busy in IPL, there has not been much change in the top 10.
