While giving information to Local 18, Dr. Daulat Singh, HOD of Cancer Department of Doon Medical College Hospital, Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, said that as we are moving forward in the modern society, the cases of ovarian cancer in women are increasing. is also increasing. There can be many reasons for this. This disease occurring in women can also be genetic. But there are some reasons which we can prevent ourselves. Like not allowing obesity to increase and we can avoid it by maintaining a healthy diet and daily routine.
Dr. Daulat Singh says that the cases of ovarian cancer are increasing in Uttarakhand as compared to before, which is a matter of concern. Women do not understand its initial symptoms, but the existence of this disease becomes known only in the advanced stage.
What are the symptoms of ovarian cancer?
Dr. Daulat Singh explains that there are no distinct symptoms, but if a woman has pain in the lower abdomen, feels heaviness or has pain in the waist, then it can be considered a warning sign. If the woman is not treated on time, she may even lose her life. He told that there are chances of this happening in women who get married and conceive after 30 years. Whereas this is more likely to happen in women above 45 years of age. Women should control their weight. Because excess weight can also be the reason for this.
Less risk to breastfeeding women
Dr. Daulat Singh says that women who breastfeed their babies have less risk of getting ovarian cancer.
