Kamya Karthikeyan, who studies in Navy Children School, has done something similar. She has created a new national record by successfully climbing the peak of Mount Everest at the age of just 16. Kamya, who studies in 12th class, has become the second youngest girl in the world to do so. Kamya’s father Commodore S. Karthikeyan supported his daughter at every step in the entire expedition. He also conquered Mount Everest with his daughter. Let us tell you that Mount Everest is located at a height of 8,849 meters and its paths are quite challenging.
The Western Command of the Navy posted on X and informed about the achievement of Kamya Karthikeyan. Kamya started her expedition with her father on 3 April 2024. The Navy gave this information on Thursday. The Navy posted on X and said, ‘Kamya Karthikeyan, a 12th class student at Navy Children’s School, along with her father Commodore S. Karthikeyan, has successfully completed the climb of Mount Everest on 20 May 2024. After this success, Kamya has become the second youngest girl in the world to conquer Mount Everest.’ The Navy said that Kamya started climbing Mount Everest from Nepal. The Navy further said, ‘Kamya has completed 6 milestones so far as part of the mission to conquer the highest peaks of seven continents. To complete the seventh expedition, Kamya has set a target to complete the climb of Mount Vinson located in Antarctica.’
