Flexi fare was started in September 2016 by the then Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu. Fares increase with the booking of seats in premium trains. Flexi fare is not applicable in trains with less than 50 percent booking. Let’s talk about what are those three methods? Due to which flexi fare can be avoided.

First method- Generally, most of the people make a tentative plan for going but it is not confirmed. There are very few number of travelers who make sudden plans. Let us first talk about those who already have a possible plan. They should make reservation before the implementation of flexi fare. If a plan is not made to go later, it can be cancelled. Only Rs 180 is deducted in this, whereas the flexi fare is higher.

Second method- Railways runs clone trains of all the trains during festival season or summer. It is announced. In real trains, flexi fare starts with waiting. For this reason, passengers should immediately make reservation in the clone train. In this way the passenger can reach the destination without paying flexi fare.
Third method- Instead of premium trains going to the destination, passengers should make reservations in trains going to nearby cities or stations. After getting down there one can reach the destination by any train. In these ways the passenger can avoid flexi fare.
