Ingredients for making Kala Chana Tikki
- For this, you will need about 1 cup of black chickpeas. The tikki will require 2 tablespoons of gram flour, 1 onion, 2 green chillies, some green coriander.
- Apart from this, turmeric powder, chaat masala, garam masala powder, ginger and salt are also required.
- Oil is required to fry the tikki and any chutney of choice to eat it with.

To make tikki from black gram, first wash the gram and boil it by adding 1 cup water.

You have to boil the chickpeas until they become soft. Turn off the gas and let the chickpeas cool down.

If you want to add potatoes to the chickpea tikki, then boil some potatoes along with it.

Now drain the water from the gram and grind it finely in a mixer. Mix gram flour in the gram.

Add finely chopped onion, green coriander, green chillies, a little turmeric powder and half a teaspoon chaat masala to it.

Add half a teaspoon of garam masala and ginger for fragrance and mix everything.

Now make small tikkis from this mixture and press them lightly and wrap them in bread crumbs.

Heat ghee in a pan and fry the tikkis well till they become golden and crispy.

If you want, you can also shallow fry the chickpea tikki. This will require less oil.
