Let us tell you that Pakistan had closed the way of providing aid to Afghanistan by road. This time India had sent a proposal to the Government of Pakistan requesting transit facility to send 50,000 tonnes of wheat to Afghanistan. This was agreed upon in the month of November 2021 and on the basis of the reply received from Pakistan, transportation was arranged from both the sides.
Even after several months of the formation of the Taliban government, it has not been recognized by the international community and due to this the economic condition of Afghanistan is very pathetic. The condition of the people is very bad due to poverty and hunger. In the last few months, India has been continuously sending many other essential items including life saving medicines in the form of humanitarian aid.
