Many countries also criticized India’s stand on Russia and Ukraine. However, the Quadrilateral Security Dialogue ie Quad countries have understood why India is doing this. Australia’s High Commissioner Berry O’Farrell said that all countries have their own bilateral relations and have to take their stand accordingly.
Let us tell you that India is the only one among the Quad countries which did not condemn Russia’s attack on Ukraine. When the condemnation motion was brought in the UN too, India distanced itself from voting. The Quad countries are Australia, Japan, USA and India. India had definitely said that the sovereignty of any country should be preserved and the conflict should be stopped.
O’Farrell said, ‘Quad countries have accepted India’s stand. We understand that all countries have their own bilateral relations. It can be seen directly that the Prime Minister of India and the Ministry of External Affairs have made efforts to stop this conflict. No country can be angry about this.
Let us inform that Prime Minister Modi had called both Zelensky and Putin and advised them to find a solution through dialogue. At the same time, the spokesman of the Prime Minister of Japan said that Japan wants Modi to explain to Putin and play an active role in ending this conflict.
