On Wednesday, a meeting of the Union Cabinet was held under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi. In which many important decisions have been taken. All these decisions were informed by the Union Minister and Anurag Thakur in the press conference. The decision of the most importance among all these decisions is to bring the PLI scheme brought for the textile industry. The Union Cabinet had approved the PLI scheme for the textile industry, under which a package of more than 10,683 crores will be given for 10 different products for 5 years. Under this package, the second and third tier companies will be given more priority.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that thousands of people will get direct employment with this decision in the textile sector. This package is distributed in two parts. In which the focus will be on production of 100 crores and production up to 300 crores. Under this package, special attention will be given to exports. Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that mainly states like Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha will benefit.
