In fact, the PM on Sunday (June 19, 2022) inaugurated the main tunnel and five underpasses of the Integrated Transit Corridor project at Pragati Maidan under the ITPO tunnel. The PM then went to inspect the tunnel himself, where his eyes fell on a small piece of gutkhen on the roadside. He immediately picked it up on seeing it and carried it forward. Later there he also found an empty bottle, which he later threw in the dustbin.

Inaugurating the tunnel, PM Modi said that today Delhi has received a very beautiful gift of modern infrastructure from the Central Government. It was not easy to prepare the Integrated Transit Corridor in such a short span of time. The roads around which this corridor is built is one of the busiest roads in Delhi. But, this is new India. He also solves problems, takes new resolutions and also makes efforts to fulfill those resolutions.

After the construction of Pragati Maidan tunnel, about 1.50 lakh people passing daily through ITO, Mathura Road, Bhauro Marg will get a big relief from the jam. More than 900 crore rupees have been spent to build this tunnel, along with modernizing it, a large wall painting has been made for beautification.
