Bharatiya Janata Party national president JP Nadda has taken a jibe at Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and party general secretary Priyanka Gandhi. Addressing a seminar, the BJP President said that Congress is no longer national, neither Indian nor democratic, it has become a party of ‘brother-sister’.
Addressing a seminar organized on ‘Dynastic Political Parties Threat to Democratic Governance’, JP Nadda said that political party is an important tool in a democratic system. He said that democracy is healthy if it is healthy. If it is unhealthy then democracy is unhealthy. Due to this gradually the democratic system starts getting hit.
JP Nadda said, “What is the health of the party, how are its systems, all this is very important. Understanding this importance, we have to keep in mind that what are our democratic values, what are the relation between leaders, what is the thought process of the organization. Hitting out at the growing familyism among political parties, the BJP president said, “The family parties, their only aim is to get power. They have no ideology. Their programs are also aimless.
Referring to some parties, he said, “Biju Janata Dal in Orissa, YSRCP in Andhra Pradesh, TRS in Telangana, Karunanidhi family in Tamil Nadu, Shiv Sena and NCP in Maharashtra are all family parties.” JP Nadda said, “PDP and National Conference in Jammu and Kashmir, Shiromani Akali Dal in Punjab, INLD in Haryana, Samajwadi Party in Uttar Pradesh, RJD in Bihar, Didi-nephew party in West Bengal, Babuji’s elders in Jharkhand After that, the son took over the party.
The BJP President said that regional parties have to come to power by any means, so they do not lag behind in doing polarisation. Then do polarization whether on the basis of caste, or religion. He said that issues of national importance are kept aside and polarization is done to get power.
