E-Shram Portal has been started to collect data of unorganized sector laborers and give them benefits of government schemes. Under which laborers, farmers and some students can also apply. According to the information given on the e-shram portal, more than 26 crore 78 lakh people have registered on it. Out of which the highest figure is from UP.
A Unique Identification Number (UAN) card is given to the candidates who register for e-Shram. A target has been set to connect 30 crore workers under this portal. Under this, benefits are given to construction workers, migrant workers, platform artists, street vendors, domestic workers, agricultural workers and other organized workers.
Which students are given benefits
According to the information given under the FAQ section of the e-shram portal, people in the unorganized sector who are between 16 years and 59 years of age can get this card made. That is, students above 16 years of age can take advantage of e-shram card. Whereas if such people who are members of EPFO or ESIC, they cannot get this benefit.
These students do not get benefits
At the same time, information has been given that those whose age is less than 16 years, they cannot get this card made. Rest of the students whose age is 16 years or more can get e-shram card made.
What are the benefits
