The matter is getting heated on the statement given by Nupur Sharma, BJP spokesperson, about the Prophet. While protests were witnessed against Nupur Sharma’s statement in Kanpur on June 3, there have been reports of protests from many parts of the country on Friday. Let us inform that after Friday prayers at Jama Masjid in Delhi, protests and slogans were raised against Nupur Sharma.
According to TV media reports, on the steps of Jama Masjid, the Namazis protested and raised slogans with poster-banners for a long time. Meanwhile, Delhi Police officers and they tried to control the situation somehow. After persuasion, the police tried to reduce the crowd from there.
Statement of the Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid: Let us inform that the people of Friday prayers gathered in Jama Masjid premises and demanded the arrest of Nupur Sharma. At the same time, the Shahi Imam of Jama Masjid says that no call for protest was given by the Masjid Committee. In fact yesterday when people were planning to protest we told them clearly that there is no call for protest from Jama Masjid (committee).
The Shahi Imam said, “We don’t know who the protestors are, I think they are from AIMIM or Owaisi’s people. We made it clear that if they want to protest, they can, but we will not support them.”

On this demonstration, Delhi Police said that people protested at Jama Masjid against the statements of suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma and expelled BJP leader Naveen Kumar Jindal. We have removed people from there. The situation is now under control.
Delhi Police’s DCP Central District, Shweta Chauhan said that around 1500 people had gathered at Jama Masjid for Friday prayers. After the namaz, around 300 people came out and protested against the provocative remarks of Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindla.

He told, “People were protesting against the controversial statements of Naveen Jindal and Nupur Sharma. We got over it in 10-15 minutes. These people had protested on the street and without permission, on which we will take legal action.”
Demonstration in UP too: After Friday prayers in Saharanpur, UP, a demonstration was held over the controversial statement on Pangbar. Apart from this, people protested after offering Namaz in Prayagraj, UP itself. According to the allegation, stones were pelted by the Muslim community in Atala area of Khuldabad police station area of Prayagraj. After which the police took strict action and removed the people from the spot.
While Lucknow Police Commissioner D.K. Thakur said that we are cautious considering the sensitivity of the Friday prayers. Sensitivity persists here so we have implemented 144. If anyone wants to do their program in the meantime, they can do so by taking permission from us.
UP ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar informed, “We have appealed to conduct the prayers in a cordial environment. There was a crowd in Saharanpur after the prayer, after which people gradually returned to their homes. The situation in Kanpur is peaceful. Continuous action is being taken in the case of posters in Unnao and many places.
Demonstration in West Bengal: Protests were held in Delhi, UP besides West Bengal against provocative remarks by suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma and expelled leader Naveen Jindal from BJP. Let us inform that people protested on the spot in Howrah of the state.
Protests in Punjab: Protests took place across Punjab after the call for Jama Masjid in Ludhiana, Punjab against Nupur Sharma and Naveen Jindal. During this, there was a demand for the arrest of those who insulted the Prophet. Apart from this, a protest was held outside Mecca Masjid in Hyderabad against Nupur Sharma. In which the police intervened and dispersed the protesters from the spot. Police force and CRPF are deployed in the area.
IUML MPs returned: UP’s Kanpur Section 144 is in force. In such a situation, IUML MP from Kerala, Mohammed Basheer, who came to visit the violence-hit area, has been returned by the Kanpur Police. Let us inform that Kanpur Police is constantly monitoring the violence-affected areas through CCTV footage. Apart from this, the Municipal Corporation is working to clear the debris of stones from the place of incident.
Let us inform that after making a controversial statement against the Prophet, a case has been registered by the Special Cell of Delhi Police against Nupur Sharma, the former national spokesperson of the BJP. Including Nupur Sharma, the names of 9 more people are also there. All these people are accused of spoiling the atmosphere by making indecent remarks against different religions.
Case registered: Cyber unit has registered a case against Nupur Sharma, Naveen Kumar Jindal, Shadab Chauhan, Saba Naqvi, Maulana Mufti Nadeem, Abdul Rehman, Gulzar Ansari, Anil Kumar Meena and Pooja Shakun.
Nupur Sharma has apologized: Let us tell you that after Nupur Sharma’s statement, many Muslim countries expressed their opposition to it. After which BJP took action against Nupur Sharma and suspended her for 6 years. At the same time, after being suspended from the party, Nupur Sharma has apologized for her statement.
