Congress has targeted the Modi government on the 54-hour ED’s questioning of Rahul Gandhi. Congress national spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh questioned in a press conference why the ED’s speech in the Sri Lankan Government Electricity Board case is closed. He alleged that PM Modi pressurized the President of Sri Lanka to give the wind power project work to the Adani Group.
Vallabh said, “In the last two weeks, the ED questioned Rahul Gandhi for 54 hours. But I am putting forward a case where the ED is silent. Our question is why there is silence in those matters? Gaurav Vallabh said, “MMC Ferdinando, chairman of the Government of Sri Lanka’s Ceylon Electricity Board, said in the parliament there that our President Gotabaya Rajapaksa was pressurized by Modi ji to give the wind power project work to the Adani group.
Vallabh questioned whether the Prime Minister of our country was made to get the contract for the private party. Is the PM of a great country like our India working as an agent of any company. Did the ED and other agencies not think it right to investigate this? Why did the Prime Minister want to benefit a private person? Why did the Prime Minister undermine India’s pride by acting as an agent for a private individual? What was their compulsion?
He questioned why the ED and other agencies are sleeping on this matter. He said that why is the Prime Minister of India advocating a private company to the foreign government?
Let us inform that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for 5 days in the money laundering case related to National Herald. Congress leaders and workers protested across the country regarding this. Congress alleges that the central government is harassing Rahul Gandhi with the help of ED.
