The cases of coronavirus have been witnessing an increase for the last few days. The Center has written a letter to five states of the country, warning and asking them to take precautions. The Union Health Ministry on Friday directed the local authorities to increase surveillance, follow COVID precautions on the rise in COVID-19 infections in five states – Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Telangana.
An increase in corona cases was seen in 11 districts of Kerala and 6 districts of Maharashtra. The Health Ministry said that these 11 districts include Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam, Kozhikode, Pathanamthitta, Idukki, Alappuzha, Kollam, Kannur, Malappuram and Wayanad. At the same time, 6 districts of Maharashtra include Mumbai, Pune, Mumbai Suburban, Thane, Raigad and Palghar. New cases in Kerala increased from 4,139 to 6,556 in the last two weeks. At the same time, the number of cases in Maharashtra increased from 2,471 to 4,883. At the national level, 54 percent of the total cases are from these two states.
At the same time, the Health Ministry said that there has been an increase in cases of infection in Chennai and Chengalpattu districts of Tamil Nadu and Bangalore district of Karnataka. Health experts believe that the immune response emanating from India’s three COVID waves and the country’s high immunization drive will protect people from severe disease. However new infections can emerge through viruses that cause the infection.
Regarding the increasing cases of corona, a scientist told The Telegraph that, “Hopefully we will continue to see mini-waves not only in India but around the world. But future large-scale disease will not become severe until the virus changes its nature dramatically, as in Alpha, Delta and Omicron.
Let us inform that in the last 24 hours, 4041 new cases of corona have been reported, while 2363 people have recovered completely from corona. In the last 24 hours, 10 people have also died due to corona. At present there are about 21,400 active patients of corona virus in India.
