Corona’s vaccine is now being started for children above 12 years. From today, the registration for the corona vaccine for children 12 to 14 years has started on the CoWIN portal. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya had informed on Monday that vaccination for children above 12 years would start from Wednesday i.e. March 16.
Whereas for people above 60, precaution dose will also be started. He has urged the families of the children and people of 60+ to take the dose of COVID. Children 12-14 years of age will be administered Corvbevax, which is two doses spaced 28 days apart. Similarly, the registration of children between 15 and 18 on the CoWIN portal started from January 1 and vaccination was started on January 3.
According to government data, around 7.11 crore children will be vaccinated under the new age group. Biologicals E has supplied 50 million doses of Corbevax to the Centre, which will be available only at government facilities. This information has been given by the Ministry of Health.

What documents will be needed
For registration on the COVIN portal, you need to fill the ID proof with photo, ID number, name, date of birth and gender etc. Even if children above 12 do not have Aadhar card, they can still register using their school photo ID or any other photo ID.
