The Ministry of Home Affairs has issued new instructions regarding the Corona Guidelines. The National Disaster Management Authority and the Ministry of Home Affairs have directed to end all the restrictions issued according to the Corona Guidelines after March 31. However, as per the advice of the Ministry of Health, it will be necessary to use face masks. Along with this, it will also be necessary to sanitize the hands.
Union Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla, in a letter sent to the Chief Secretaries of all the states/union territories, said that there has been a steady decline in the cases of corona for the last seven weeks. At present, there are only 23,913 active cases of corona across the country, while the positivity rate is only 0.28%. The Home Secretary also informed that so far 181 crore 56 lakh vaccine doses have been administered to the people across the country.
Through the letter, Home Secretary Ajay Bhalla said that, “We have to keep an eye on the nature of the disease and wherever there is an increase in the number of cases, the concerned State/Union Territory will be able to take a decision at the local level as per the instructions of the Ministry of Health.”
Ajay Bhalla said in his instruction that, “The period of all applicable rules is expiring on 31st March. After that no new order will be issued in this regard by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The general public is also now aware of the proper behavior required to deal with Corona. The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has decided that there is no longer any need to invoke the provisions of the DM Act for COVID-19 containment measures.
In the last 24 hours, 1778 active cases of corona have been reported across the country, while 2542 people have been cured of corona. In the last 2 years, more than 4 crore 30 lakh cases of corona were found across the country, in which more than 4 crore 24 lakh people became completely healthy. More than 5 lakh 16 thousand people died in the country in the last 2 years due to corona.
