A steady increase is being recorded in the number of patients undergoing treatment for corona virus infection in the country since Wednesday, April 13. The number of patients undergoing treatment in the country on April 13 was 10,870, which increased to 11,558 by Sunday. Due to the arrival of 1,150 cases of corona in 24 hours, the total number of infected people has reached 4,30,42,097.
According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Sunday morning, the number of people who lost their lives due to the epidemic has increased to 5,21,751 due to the death of four more infected. The four infected people who died due to infection in 24 hours include two from Delhi and one each from Jammu and Kashmir and Mizoram.
The number of patients undergoing treatment for infection is only 0.03 percent of the total cases, while the national rate of those who are infection free is 98.76 percent. The number of patients undergoing treatment has increased by 192 in 24 hours. The daily infection rate in the country is 0.31 percent, while the weekly infection rate has been recorded at 0.27 percent.
According to the data, the number of patients recovering has increased to 4,25,08,788, while the death rate due to infection is 1.21 percent. So far, more than 186.51 crore doses of anti-coronavirus vaccines have been given in the country.
