There has been a jump in the cases of corona infection in many countries including China. In such a situation, India has become cautious about this. According to information received by The Indian Express, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya on Wednesday held a high-level meeting with the top members of the COVID-19 Task Force and gave them instructions.
The central government is keeping an eye on the spurt in cases of corona in China, South Korea, Singapore and some European countries. In this regard, on Wednesday, the first official high-level meeting was held with the top members of the COVID-19 Task Force.
Sources said that during the meeting, Health Minister Mandaviya directed the officials to carry out genome sequencing of the samples at a rapid pace so that new variants can be detected. Apart from this, he asked the officials at the local level to keep a watch on the cases to quickly identify the hotspots in the country.
Cases continue to decline in India- The meeting was attended by Dr VK Paul (NITI Aayog) Head of the COVID-19 Task Force, Dr Randeep Guleria, Director AIIMS, Dr Balram Bhargava, ICMR Chief, Principal Scientific Adviser K Vijay Raghavan and Union Health Secretary Rajesh Bhushan. At present, there is a steady decline in the cases of corona in India. On Wednesday, only 2,876 new cases were reported in the country and the active caseload of the country came down to 32,811.
havoc in China and South Korea The Omicron variant has seen a spurt in cases in China. Due to this a lockdown has been imposed here. More than 15,000 new cases have been reported in the country in the last two weeks. Similarly, South Korea reported a record 4 lakh new cases on Tuesday. In the last one week, on an average, more than 3 lakh new cases have been reported in the country every day.
