There is going to be a heat wave on Monday and in the coming days as well. The heat of the national capital can make people sweat. Air quality is also likely to remain poor. The air quality on Sunday was in the ‘poor’ category with an AQI of 245.
The maximum temperature is likely to be 39 degree Celsius at Safdarjung Meteorological Center on Monday. Along with this, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has also predicted strong winds. Apart from this, the Meteorological Department has also issued a warning for heatwave. Under which the condition of hitwave will be formed in the coming days. The Meteorological Department said that the temperature was recorded at 20 degrees Celsius at 5.30 am on Monday. While the relative humidity was 66 per cent.
6 degree above normal temperature
The maximum temperature at the Safdarjung Meteorological Center on Sunday was recorded at 39.4 degrees Celsius, six notches above normal. On Sunday, some weather observatories including Palam (40.2 degrees), Ridge (41.4 degrees), Najafgarh (41.7 degrees), and Gurgaon (42.3 degrees) recorded maximum temperatures of 40 degrees Celsius or more.
Severe heat forecast on these dates
According to the Meteorological Department, in the coming days, the maximum temperature can go up to 40 degrees by April 6, and can rise to 41 degrees by April 8. However, the Meteorological Department has not given any forecast about the days ahead. At the same time, there is a possibility of heat wave in some parts of Rajasthan and South Uttar Pradesh from April 4 to 7.
