The work of the grand temple of Lord Ram Lalla in Ayodhya is going on at a very fast pace. The Building Construction Committee keeps a close watch on every aspect of the work. Till now about 30 percent work of Ram temple has been completed. The foundation has been filled. About two hundred crore rupees have been spent in this. Raft work has also been completed. A plinth is being built on top of it, which will be six and a half meters above the ground. It will be completed by June this year. For this, the stones are being raised above the sandstone of Mirzapur and then granite stones will be installed. The stone carving work is starting fast, soon these stones will be shifted to the Ram Janmabhoomi complex.
In December next year, Lord Shri Ramlala will be seated at the sanctum sanctorum of his birthplace. The entire temple is being built in Nagara style. A retaining wall is being built fifty meters below the ground to keep the temple safe from the stream of Sarayu.
After the work of retaining wall and sanctum sanctorum of Ram temple is completed, work is to be done on 70 acres for the basic facilities of the devotees. Sanskrit Vidyalaya, Pathshala, Gaushala etc. will be constructed in the temple premises.
Talking to ABP news channel, Kameshwar Chaupal, a member of the trust, said, “The work has gone on at a very fast pace. We have a building construction committee in spite of all kinds of hurdles, they have proceeded with the work with great promptness and intelligence.”
A total of 11 hundred crores is to be spent on the construction of Ram temple. Thirty thousand cubic feet of stone used in the construction of the temple has come from Bangalore and about 35 thousand cubic feet of stone has come from Mirzapur. A total of 5 lakh cubic feet of stone is to be used in this. About one thousand episodes of Ramayana will be engraved on the rocks in the wall to be built in 25 square feet area of Ram temple. Apart from this, artists will also write 125 episodes of Ramkatha on these stones with their art. Vedic mantras are recited before all work begins.
