BJP MP Varun Gandhi has once again surrounded the central government on the issue of unemployment. Presenting the figures for two years from 2018 to 2020, he said that during this period 25 thousand youth committed suicide due to unemployment. Referring to these figures, he has demanded from the government that the vacant posts of government jobs should be filled at the earliest, so that the youth do not take such steps. Along with this, he also appealed to promote permanent and regular jobs instead of contract.
He tweeted and told the central government, “The suicide of youth is taking a frightening form due to unemployment in India. It is the duty of the government to provide stability to the youth of the country and reduce the difficulties of the youth of the country by filling the vacant posts as soon as possible. The government’s priority should be to end the culture of contractualisation.”
Let us tell you that Varun Gandhi seems to be different from the party line even regarding the “Agneepath scheme” of the Center brought for recruitment in the army. He has also announced to give up the pension received as an MP. He made this announcement amid questions being raised about the pension of MPs and MLAs for not getting pension to Agniveers.
At the same time, when BJP national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya said that Agniveer can do a guard job after retirement, BJP MP Varun Gandhi was furious. He said, “Which great army whose heroic tales are unable to tell the whole dictionary, whose valor is resonant in the whole world, an invitation to that Indian soldier to do ‘Chowkidari’ of any political office, congratulations to the one who gave it. Indian Army is a medium of service to Mother Bharati, not just a ‘job’.”
At the same time, earlier he had shared a video of a CTET pass youth driving a rickshaw. He said that 60 lakh sanctioned posts are vacant and a CTET pass youth is compelled to drive a rickshaw.
