The ongoing controversy regarding Gyanvapi Masjid is increasing day by day. All political parties are giving their opinion regarding this. Now Islamic scholar Junaid Haris has talked about research from its historian and architect. In a debate on TV channel Aaj Tak, he said that it is more important than making public opinion that historians and architects should investigate there.
He also said, “In 1984, I had offered Namaz there.” Questioning his statement, Bharatiya Janata Party spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia said, “The fountain was running then?
Faith and law got separated and it remained only a matter of politics.
Congress leader Acharya Pramod Krishnam was also present in this debate, he said that now faith and law have separated on this issue and politics is being discussed. He said that the investigation should have come to the public only when the court would have taken a decision on this whole issue.
He said, “Five women demanded inspection of Gyanvapi Masjid in the court and the court ordered the survey. Now the investigation should have come in the public domain when the survey report would have come and the court would have ruled that Shivling and these things were found there, then we would have bowed down. We should also do it because Kashi is the basis of our faith.
The anchor asked why is it Hindu vs Muslim and not Mughal vs Indians? To this the Congress leader said that Hindu vs Muslim is happening because there is one party which wants to prove itself as the only party of Muslims and there is another party which wants to prove itself as the only party of Hindus. Because of which it has become a matter of politics, not of faith and law.
