People in large numbers are reaching theaters to watch The Kashmir Files, a film about the injustice done to Kashmiri Pandits. In such a situation, a BJP leader in Haryana has asked people to show this film for free. To which the director of The Kashmir Files Vivek Agnihotri objected.
Vivek Agnihotri has termed it a crime to show this film for free. He wrote in a tweet, “Warning: It is a crime to show The Kashmir Files in the open and for free like this. Respected Manohar Lal Khattar ji, I request you to stop this. Politicians should respect the creativity business. Real patriotism and social service means buying tickets legally and peacefully.”
Actually Vivek Agnihotri has shared a poster in his tweet. In which there is a photo of Keshav Chaudhary (Bittu), the president of Rewari, Haryana. It is written in the poster that the film The Kashmir Files by youth leader Mukesh Yadav Kapriwas and former MLA Randhir Singh Kapriwas will be shown to the public with big screen and digital sound. The audience has also been invited by telling the place and time in the poster.
The poster reads that the film will be screened on Sunday, March 20 at 6.30 pm at Swarna Jayanti Park, Model Town, Rewari. Please tell that Vivek Agnihotri has opposed this method.
Significantly, with the release, The Kashmir Files has been flying the flag of success at the box office. So far, the film has done a total business of Rs 141.25 crore in nine days. According to the report, this film made in 12 crores has done business many times more than its cost and is doing so now.
Viewers are very fond of this film made on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir on 19 January 1990. Director Vivek Agnihotri claims that an attempt has been made to show the pain of Kashmiri Pandits in this film. It is expected that the film will collect Rs 150 crore.
