The results of Haryana’s Rajya Sabha elections were a deep shock to the Gandhi family. It was believed that Ajay Maken would easily win the election there. To avoid the displeasure of strongman Bhupinder Singh Hooda, another Haryana veteran Randeep Surjewala was given ticket by the high command from Rajasthan. But despite Hooda putting in a lot of effort, two of his opponents drowned Maken in the middle. Kuldeep Bishnoi did what he had been saying for months. But the party leadership did not expect such a thing from Kiran Chaudhary.
In Haryana Rajya Sabha elections, BJP’s Krishnalal Panwar and independent Karthikeya Sharma have won the election for two Rajya Sabha seats. Karthikeya won by recounting for the second seat. Panwar got 31 votes and got elected for the first seat. Kartikeya Sharma and Ajay Maken got 29-29 votes. But Karthikeya won by second preference vote. Haryana Congress in-charge Vivek Bansal said that Kuldeep Bishnoi did not vote for Congress. He has done cross voting. Bansal has recommended to the high command for strict action against Kuldeep. It is believed that now Congress will show Bishnoi the way out. He will be removed from the membership of CWC (Special Invitee) and suspended from the party. A letter will also be written to the Speaker for cancellation of membership from the Assembly.
However, Kuldeep was unhappy with the Congress leadership for a long time. In April, the Congress had appointed Hooda’s trusted aide Udaybhan as the state Congress president. Since then, Kuldeep Bishnoi was angry and did not attend any Congress program. He had said that I will take my next political decision only after meeting Rahul Gandhi. Sources say that Kari Kuldeep was among the first to arrive to vote. But he did not show his vote to the authorized agent of Congress stationed there. After casting his vote, Kuldeep Bishnoi said that he cast his vote on the voice of the inner soul. On the other hand, Congress leaders say that Kiran Choudhary cast her vote incorrectly. They believe that Kiran did it intentionally, not because of any such mistake. His figure is also believed to be 36 from Bhupinder Singh Hooda.
Congress had made BB Batra its election agent for the Rajya Sabha elections while the authorized agents were Vivek Bansal and Rajiv Shukla. The polling agents were Aftab Ahmed and Ashok Arora. The Congress MLAs had to show the vote to an authorized agent while casting their vote. If a legislator casts his vote and the authorized agent objected and the legislator does not show the vote to the authorized agent, his vote is considered void. The vote has to be shown only to the authorized agent. If the vote is shown to someone else, it is considered canceled.
Hooda’s arch-rival is Kuldeep
Kuldeep Bishnoi, son of former Haryana Chief Minister Bhajan Lal, is the sitting Congress MLA from Adampur. Kuldeep used to be in Congress earlier. But in the year 2007, he formed a party named Haryana Janhit Congress-Bhajanlal. He was thrown out of the party due to his feud with the then Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. In 2014, he allied with BJP and contested the Lok Sabha elections from Hisar. But he was defeated in the elections by Dushyant Chautala. In 2016, he merged his party with the Congress. Kuldeep is the MLA from Adampur. Kuldeep Vishnoi has been MLA from Adampur seat 4 times.
Kiran also has a figure of 36 from the former CM
