Union Minister Piyush Goyal said on Saturday that India wants to make its mark on the global market in all sectors and soon India’s economy will reach from 3 trillion to 30 trillion dollars.
Minister of Textiles, Commerce and Industry Goyal said that the domestic textile industry has great potential to generate employment in the coming years and the Center is actively working with various countries to finalize the Free Trade Agreement, which will help the world. It will help India’s textile sector to export textiles at zero tax to many countries.
Addressing an event in Coimbatore, Goyal said that the Center is promoting cotton and man-made textile sectors, thereby increasing India’s market share in the world market and increasing employment opportunities as well as investment. He said, “We want to be a global industry across all sectors. Want to capture global markets. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the central government is working on a free trade agreement with many countries, which will help the textile sector in the coming times.
Goyal further emphasized that Tamil Nadu will develop into a hub of Textiles, Pumps, Wet Grinders and Critical Component Manufacturing in the world in times to come, which will also give impetus to the country’s economy. Due to the steps taken by the Government of India, today the country’s industrial exports have crossed $ 440 billion.
He further said that the country will soon move from a $3 trillion economy to a $30 trillion economy, the government is taking strict steps for this and many structural changes are being made in the system. Along with this, the Union Minister advised all the stakeholders to work hard, stay united and help to make India the largest manufacturing hub of the world. He also invited all the young and women entrepreneurs to come forward to invest and contribute to the development of the nation.
