Inflation has once again reached its peak in the country, we are saying this because today on Monday, the wholesale inflation data was released by the Center. According to the data, the wholesale inflation rate has increased at the rate of 13.11 percent in February. If compared with the previous month, the wholesale inflation rate stood at 12.96 per cent in January, while it stood at 13.56 per cent in December.
Inflation increased due to war: The government said in its statement that inflation has increased in February due to increase in the prices of mineral oil, commodities, chemicals and chemical products, crude oil, natural gas, food items and non-food items.
According to government data, inflation in food articles has come down to 8.19 per cent in February from 10.33 per cent in comparison to January last month. Whereas, the inflation in the prices of vegetables has come down from 38.45 per cent to 26.93 per cent as compared to the previous month. Which was 31.56 percent in December.
Inflation increased in vegetables: Inflation in potato prices has increased to 14.78 per cent from 14.45 per cent in the previous month. The prices of eggs, meat and fish have gone up by 8 per cent while that of wheat has seen an increase of 11 per cent.
