The long-delayed satellite GISAT-1 will be launched by ISRO on August 12 due to the Corona epidemic. All preparations have been completed by ISRO to stabilize this Real Time Imaging Satellite in space. This will be only the second launch after the start of the second wave of the corona epidemic. Which will be launched from Sriharikota and has been fixed for 12 August. Earlier, the launch took place on 21 February from Sriharikota.
Geo Imaging Satellite GSET-1 will be launched from GSLV-F10 rocket. The weight of GSTT-1 is 3 kg. It was originally scheduled to launch in March 2020, but had to be canceled due to a technical error. After this, it was to be launched again on March 9 this year too, but due to the second wave of Corona, it had to be canceled.
ISRO has now fixed August 12 as the date for the launch of GSET-1. An official announcement from ISRO said: This satellite will prove to be a game changer for India in many ways.
