Amidst the controversy over Gyanvapi Masjid and Qutub Minar, Muslim organization Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind will hold a huge gathering in Deoband, Uttar Pradesh on May 28 and 29. In this conference, other big issues including Gyanvapi will be discussed and a strategy will be prepared for the future. 5000 Muslim intellectuals from across the country will participate in this conference to be held in Deoband.
For the past few months, Muslim organizations have been seen continuously mobilizing across the country for legal cases and disputes regarding Gyanvapi Masjid in Varanasi, Shahi Idgah Masjid of Mathura, Taj Mahal and all the buildings. In such a situation, many resolutions related to the temple-mosque dispute are also likely to be passed in this conference to be held in Deoband. This conference is being organized under the leadership of Maulana Mahmud Madani, the second elder of the Jamiat.
No interference in Gyanvapi case: Jamiat Ulema Hind can pass many resolutions in the conference against the ongoing temple-mosque dispute in the country these days. Earlier, Jamiat Ulema Hind chief Maulana Mahmood Asad Madani had urged Muslim organizations not to interfere in the Gyanvapi case. He had called upon the people of the Muslim community not to bring an issue like Gyanvapi on the streets and to avoid any kind of public demonstration.
Public demonstrations should be avoided: Jamiat President Maulana Mahmood Madani said in a statement that some mischievous elements are trying to create rift between the two communities on the pretext of this matter, so it is necessary for us to maintain restraint. He said, “The Masjid Committee is fighting the case in all the courts as a party in this case. We hope that they will fight this matter firmly till the end. There is an appeal to all other organizations of the country not to interfere directly in this.
What is Qutub Minar Controversy: The Qutub Minar controversy began when the former Regional Director of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) Dharamvir Sharma claimed that the Qutub Minar was built by the Hindu emperor Raja Vikramaditya and not Qutubuddin Aibak. He said that the tower was built to study the direction of the sun. It was also claimed that idols of Hindu deities were also found in the premises.
