The ongoing political game in Maharashtra is being linked to the presidential election. Presidential candidate Yashwant Sinha has claimed this and said that through this BJP wants to collect numbers for the elections. He says that BJP had less votes in Maharashtra and Maha Vikas Aghadi had more votes.
He said that if BJP breaks this alliance, then votes will increase with them, which will benefit them in the presidential election along with the power of the state. He blamed the BJP for the storm in Maharashtra politics and said that this is their old game.
Let us inform that on Tuesday (June 21, 2022), rebel Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde along with the party MLAs first went to Gujarat and then to Assam. His move has put the Maharashtra government in trouble. In the midst of this turmoil in the politics of Maharashtra, Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray shifted from his residence to Matoshree from the CM residence Varsha on Wednesday.
On the other hand, Shiv Sena MLA Shinde, who has taken a rebellious attitude, is claiming that he has the support of more than 40 MLAs. Because of this, the government of Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition is under threat. However, NCP chief has also come to the rescue of Uddhav Thackeray and he claimed that soon this crisis will also be over and the government of Maharashtra will run under the leadership of Uddhav Thackeray.
At the same time, there is a lot of stir among the political parties regarding the presidential election. BJP has announced the name of Draupadi Murmu as the NDA’s presidential candidate. Murmu is a tribal woman and has been the governor of Jharkhand from 2015 to 2021 apart from being a minister in the Odisha government. On the other hand, the opposition has nominated Yashwant Sinha, who was earlier in the BJP and has also been a Union minister in the Vajpayee government. However, in the year 2021, he left the BJP and joined the Trinamool Congress.
