With the help of which women entrepreneurs will be able to move forward. Prime Minister Narendra Modi participated in the self-reliant Nari-Shakti program through video conferencing. During this, he released Rs 1,625 crore for women entrepreneurs. PM Modi interacted with women members of Women Self Help Groups affiliated to Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihood Mission and also addressed the nation.
PM Modi said that today huge financial help has been given to increase entrepreneurship among women for greater participation in the objective of self-reliant India. Over Rs 1,600 crore has been sent to lakhs of such groups, be it food processing enterprises, women farmer ‘producer’ unions or other self-help groups.
Modi said, ‘The way our sisters have served the countrymen through self-help groups in Corona is unprecedented. Be it making masks and sanitizers, delivering food to the needy, spreading awareness, the contribution of Sakhi groups has been incomparable in every way. When our government came, we saw that there are lakhs of sisters in the country who do not have bank accounts, which is far away from the banking system. So we started a big campaign to open Jan Dhan account first.
