On 31 October, the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the Unity Parade at the Statue of Unity through a video message. PM Modi said that the country is paying tribute to Vallabhbhai Patel today. Sardar Patel not only lives in history but he lives in the hearts of all Indians. PM Modi said that best wishes to all the countrymen on the occasion of National Unity Day. Today, the country is paying tribute to the national hero Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, who dedicated every moment of his life to India – the best India.
The PM said that Sardar Patel always wanted India to be strong, inclusive, sensitive and alert, humble and developed. He always put national interest first. Today, due to his inspiration, India is becoming fully capable of overcoming all kinds of challenges inside and outside the country. Narendra Modi said that much more had to be done in this elixir of freedom as compared to the time when all efforts were made to build a free India. This elixir of freedom, an unprecedented pace of development, is aimed at achieving difficult goals.
Strong foundation of democracy that developed in the society and traditions of India, prospered the sense of ‘Ek Bharat, shreshth Bharat’. But we must also remember that all the passengers sitting in a boat have to take care of the boat. We can go ahead only if we stay united: PM pic.twitter.com/jdcgUHcjqV

Modi said, this elixir of independence is the pace of development, amazing and achievement. This is Sardar Sahab’s India makeover. Sardar Sahib saw our country as one body. He saw the country as a unit. So his Ek Bharat also meant that everyone should have equal opportunities, the right to have equal dreams.
He said that the strength of his movement, even in the era many decades ago, was that the collective energy of men and women, every class, every sect was used in it. So today when we talk about one India then what should be the nature of one India. An India where women have more than one opportunity, an India where every citizen of the country like Dalit, deprived, tribal, forest dweller should feel equal. An India where there should be no discrimination in facilities like electricity and water, there should be equal rights, this is what the country is doing today. She is setting new goals in this direction and this is happening because today everyone is involved in every resolution in the country.
