Union Road and Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari laid the roadmap of country roads in Parliament on Tuesday. In the Lok Sabha, he said that by 2024, the road infrastructure of the country will be at par with that of America. He said that by increasing the road infrastructure, employment opportunities will increase in agriculture as well as tourism. During this, he said that his department has made four world records.
Giving information about these four world records, Gadkari said, “We are proud of the country that our department has created four world records. First world record 38 km road construction daily. We did not create any wrong figure, the record that was made is made of that. Unlike western countries, we are calling a lathe of eight kilometres, one kilometer. Made according to what was the system in the UPA government. ,
Gadkari further said, “A week ago we built a single lane road of 50 km lath in just 100 hours. This record happened in Panchmahal district of Gujarat on Delhi-Vadodara greenfield alignment. We built 2.5 kilometer long cement concrete road of four lane near Vadodara in just 24 hours. Later on NH 52 between Solapur to Bijapur we built 26 km single lane road in just 21 hours. I am happy that the technology of the contractor is also improving in a big way.”
