Preparations to lay siege to the government by the opposition on many issues in the monsoon session
New Delhi, July 17 (IANS)| NCP chief Sharad Pawar reached Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s residence on Saturday to meet him. The talks between the two leaders lasted for about 50 minutes on important issues. The topic of conversation ranged from Maharashtra to national issues. Sources said that the monsoon session of Parliament is going to start from July 19. The opposition is preparing to lay siege to the government in Parliament on many major issues like Ladakh dispute with China, corona, inflation. Recently, in a meeting held at Sharad Pawar’s house, an exercise has been done to unite the leaders of the opposition against the BJP-led NDA government.
Sources say that before the session, there is a tradition of the government seeking cooperation in running the house after holding talks with the top leaders of the opposition. In this episode, there is a possibility of discussion between the two leaders in this meeting. Earlier on Friday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh also met Sharad Pawar and gave him an update on the Ladakh dispute. Sources also said that the Prime Minister also discussed the current political situation in Maharashtra with Sharad Pawar.
