In Rajasthan, 6 MLAs who won elections on Mayawati’s party ticket have become rebels. But they hope that they will definitely obey his orders. On the instructions of Mayawati regarding the Rajya Sabha elections, the BSP has issued a whip asking all the BSP MLAs to vote for independents. Both BJP and Congress are anti-Dalit. If voted for him, the party will take strict action.
Rajendra Singh Gudha, Joginder Singh Awana, Wajib Ali, Sandeep Kumar, Lakhan Singh and Deepchand are among the six MLAs who won the elections on BSP ticket in Rajasthan. On the other hand, Wajib Ali, who came to Congress from BSP, expressed his displeasure over not fielding outside leaders as candidates instead of local leaders, then BSP issued a whip. This decree has been issued by the Rajasthan unit of the party.
With five candidates in the fray for the four seats of Rajasthan Rajya Sabha, the contest for the elections to be held on June 10 has now become interesting. In the Rajya Sabha elections, the arithmetic of victory of Congress in all three seats has been disturbed due to the entry of independent candidate Subhash Chandra, a pro-BJP candidate. Now the Congress has started worrying about the possibility of cross voting among its allies MLAs.
In Rajasthan elections 2018, six MLAs came on BSP ticket by winning. But after winning all the six MLAs had joined the Congress party. The BSP has appealed against them in the Supreme Court under the anti-defection law, that is why the BSP has issued a whip for six MLAs.
Mukul Wasnik, Randeep Surjewala and Pramod Tiwari are in the fray from Congress. Each candidate needs votes of 41-41 MLAs to win. The votes of 123 MLAs are required for all the three candidates. If the votes of the three MLAs also move here and there, then the third candidate of the Congress may be defeated. Congress has 108 MLAs of its own. One MLA is from RLD. The Congress has 126 MLAs, including 13 Independents, two CPM and two BTP MLAs. However, BTP also seems to be on a different path at the moment.
Despite this claim of Congress, the danger of dent remains. Actually angry MLAs can spoil the equation of Congress. If four independents, two BTP MLAs slip from the Congress camp, the strength will be 120. Under the Congress strategy, 41-41 votes will be cast for the victory of two candidates so that their victory can be decided. At the same time, the candidate who will be on the third preference number will be in danger.
Subhash Chandra has filed nomination as an independent candidate for the Rajya Sabha elections from Rajasthan quota with the support of BJP. While Ghanshyam Tiwari has filled the form on BJP ticket. BJP has 30 extra votes for the second seat. In such a situation, to win this seat, independent candidate Subhash Chandra needs 11 more votes in addition to the BJP’s thirty votes. In such a situation, the possibility of cross voting is increasing.
