The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is working on a plan to counter the growing influence of the Popular Front of India (PFI) on Southern University campuses and elsewhere. These plans include expanding the base of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in South India. At the same time, the RSS will also reach out to those Muslim sections, who do not have an alliance with the PFI.
The union believes that the Campus Front of India (CFI), the student wing of PFI, played a key role in motivating minority students on the hijab controversy in Karnataka and was successful in making it a national issue.
