In the case related to National Herald, Rahul Gandhi has been questioned by the ED for about 40 hours. At the same time, notice has been issued to Sonia Gandhi to appear before the ED on June 23. The entire Congress is protesting against this action of ED. In such a situation, now BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has attacked his own party regarding this matter.
In fact, in the National Herald case, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy attacked the Prime Minister and his party strongly and said that there is an exercise to take credit from me in the National Herald case. He wrote in his tweet, “The entire Modi government and the party’s chamchas could not find a single corruption case. So they want to take credit from me in the National Herald case.”
Significantly, in 2012, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy had filed a petition in the trial court alleging that some Congress leaders had wrongly acquired Associated Journals Limited (AJL) through Young Indian Limited (YIL). In the allegation, he had said that this was done to grab the Rs 2000 crore building of Herald House located on Bahadur Shah Zafar Road in Delhi. Young Indian Limited has been given the right to TJL’s property through a conspiracy.
After this petition, in August 2014, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) took cognizance of the matter and registered a case of money laundering. In such a situation, Subramanian Swamy says that the matter of National Herald has been raised by him. While targeting the BJP through a tweet, he said that BJP and the entire Modi government could not catch a single corruption case and wants to take credit from me for what is already there.
Let us tell you that on June 13, BJP leader Subramanian Swamy had claimed that Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi could be sentenced to 22 to 25 years in the National Herald case. He said that the Congress party has gone. The BJP leader had said that the punishment of ED under money laundering is very strict.
