In the recent assembly elections held in five states, namely, UP, Goa, Manipur, Uttarakhand and Punjab, the Congress remained away from power. In such a situation, now the own leaders of the Congress are questioning the party leadership. Let us inform that G-23 leaders, including party veteran Kapil Sibal, have started openly expressing dissatisfaction with the party leadership.
It is worth noting that after the results, the raga of rebellion has broken out in the Congress. Well, this is not the first time that the Congress is going through this condition. Even before this, the party has gone to the verge of disintegration due to the rebellion of its own leaders. Chaudhary Charan Singh was with the Congress till 1967 but after leaving with him, the Congress had to face defeat in Uttar Pradesh.
Apart from this, the Congress also suffered in Bengal when Ajay Mukherjee was the CM in 1967. But after he was removed by the governor, he started agitation against the governor. Apart from this he went on hunger strike against his government. The result was that the Congress had to face defeat in Bengal.
Congress leader Jagjivan Ram left the Congress in 1977 and formed his own ‘Congress for Democracy’ party and entered the electoral fray with the Janata Party. In the results, the Congress had to face defeat at the Centre. Apart from this, the process of rebellion against Congress also continued in 1987. When VP Singh opened the front for the deals of 410 guns of Bofors against Rajiv Gandhi. For this, VP Singh was shown the way out of the Congress in 1987. Later in 1988, he formed the new party National Front and in the next election formed a coalition government at the Centre.
Narayan Dutt Tiwari, Arjun Singh’s rebellion in 1994, Moopanar in 1996 had a big hand in the weakening of the Congress. Because of which the Congress kept away from power at the Centre. At the same time, in 1997, Mamta Banerjee, separated from the Congress, ended the Congress in West Bengal. In 1999, the Congress had to face defeat at the center due to mufti Muhammad Sayeed, Sharad Pawar’s rebellion.
Due to the dissatisfaction of all the big leaders, the Congress which has been away from power since 2014, it started showing in the form of annihilation in 2019. At the same time, after the election results of five states, now again the dissatisfaction of senior leaders is being expressed. The brunt of which is believed to be sure to fall on the morale of the party workers.
Conflict in Congress! Congress leader Kapil Sibal has instructed the Gandhi family to separate from the central leadership. On this, Mirza Javed, District President of Chandni Chowk Unit of Delhi Congress has demanded that Kapil Sibal should be expelled from the party for his anti-party activities. In this regard, a proposal has been presented on his behalf that whatever action will be taken against Kapil Sibal, he is with the party.
