27 million euro agreement signed by Indian Air Force
The strength of the Indian Air Force is going to increase even more, soon 24 Mirage 2000 fighter jets will be included in the list of Air Force aircraft. This is the same aircraft with the help of which the team involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan was destroyed. This aircraft has been made by Dassault Aviation, which makes Rafale aircraft for India.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, the IAF has signed a deal worth around 27 million euros to buy fighter jets. Out of these 24, 8 aircraft are in flying condition at present. The cost of each aircraft is 1.125 million euros i.e. 9.73 crore rupees.
The Balakot operation was surpassed by the IAF in 2019 by a 35-year-old aircraft Mirage. The same aircraft is being updated and inducted into the Indian Air Force. Up to 300 complex spareparts are needed to update these aircraft. Of the fighter jets being procured by India, the engines and airframes of 13 jets are in good condition. It will be used by two squadrons of fighter jets of the Indian Air Force.
Mirage-2000 can fly in the wind at a speed of 2336 km per hour. This double engine aircraft can carry 13800 kg of explosives. This fourth generation aircraft also played a very important role in the Kargil war. Due to the two engines, the chances of the plane crashing are greatly reduced. This aircraft has the ability to destroy the enemy in the air itself. Apart from this, it can also carry out heavy bombing and missile attacks. The aircraft also has a 30 mm revolver cannon which can fire 1800 bullets in a minute.
