In view of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council elections, the Samajwadi Party on Sunday announced the candidates for the first and second phase. In this list, SP has given place to Rashtriya Lok Dal candidate in two seats. Let us inform that a total of 35 candidates have been announced by the Samajwadi Party, out of which 33 have been kept with them.
The two seats which SP has given to RLD are Meerut-Ghaziabad Local Authority and Bulandshahr seat. In this, SP has fielded Mashkoor Ahmed from Rampur-Bareilly, Sinoj Kumar Shakya from Badaun, Ajay Pratap Singh alias Ajay Malik from Moradabad-Bijnor, Amit Kumar from Pilibhit-Shahjahanpur.
Apart from this, SP has made Rajiuddin its candidate from Hardoi. On the other hand, Arunesh Kumar from Sitapur, Sunil Kumar Singh from Lucknow-Unnao, Anurag Verma from Kheri, Virendra Shankar Singh from Rae Bareli, Shilpa Prajapati from Sultanpur and Vijay Bahadur from Pratapgarh have been given tickets.
SP has fielded Rajesh Kumar from Barabanki. On the other hand, Vasudev has been nominated from Allahabad. The party has bet on Anand Kumar Tripathi from Banda-Hamirpur. Apart from this, Amar from Bahraich, Bholanath Shukla from Ghazipur, Manoj Kumar from Jaunpur, Rakesh Kumar from Azamgarh-Mau, Umesh from Varanasi, Ramesh Singh from Mirzapur-Sonbhadra. It is worth noting that earlier BJP had also announced its 30 candidates.
The SP is the single largest party in the Upper House of UP. The Samajwadi Party has 48 members in the 100-member Legislative Council. Whereas BJP has 36 numbers. The nomination process for the UP Legislative Council elections will be held from March 15 to March 21. Polling for these seats will be held on April 9. Whereas the results will come on April 12.
After the end of the assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, now the political agitation has increased regarding the elections to the Legislative Council. At the same time, before the SP, the BJP had released the list of 30 candidates for the MLC elections on Saturday.
