Flood problems in Assam: In states like Assam, Bengaluru and Kerala, the rains have increased the problems of the people. In view of this situation, the administration in Cachar has ordered the closure of all educational institutions (government and private) in the district for 48 hours (May 19 and 20). At the same time, due to the floods in Nagaon, Assam, part of the road connecting Kapur to Kathiatoli was washed away in flood waters. Its video has also surfaced on social media. According to government data, more than 48,000 people have been shifted to 248 relief camps in Assam.
Situation in Kerala: Due to torrential rains in Kerala, India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued Orange Alert for the whole day in 12 districts on Thursday. The IMD on Thursday issued an orange alert for all the remaining districts of Kerala except Thiruvananthapuram and Kollam.
The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) has already deployed five of its teams in Kerala amid the situation created due to the early onset of monsoon in Kerala. At the same time, the SDMA has asked people not to travel to hilly areas unless there is an emergency. The IMD had earlier predicted that the Southwest Monsoon could knock in the state by May 27.

Temperature in UP: Due to the heat in Uttar Pradesh, adjacent to Delhi, people are facing a lot of trouble. The Meteorological Department has forecast the minimum temperature to be 28 degrees and the maximum temperature at 42 degrees on Thursday in the capital Lucknow. At the same time, the minimum temperature in Ghaziabad today is 26 degrees and the maximum temperature can be 41 degrees. The Meteorological Department has warned of heat wave from May 19 to 20 in many areas of Rajasthan, South Punjab, South Haryana and Madhya Pradesh.
