Hundreds of activists including Venugopal and Adhir Ranjan detained
Hundreds of activists, including senior Congress leaders KC Venugopal and Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, protested against the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) questioning of Rahul Gandhi for the second consecutive day on Tuesday in connection with an alleged money laundering probe linked to the National Herald newspaper. He was detained from the Congress headquarters on Akbar Road and in the vicinity of central Delhi.
Rahul was questioned for more than 10 hours on Monday
Earlier on Monday, the ED had questioned the former Congress president for more than 10 hours. Special Commissioner of Police (Law and Order) Sagar Preet Hooda said, “We detained 217 people, including some senior Congress functionaries from New Delhi district and sent them to different police stations. However, now these people have been released.”
