During the hearing in the Supreme Court on Azam Khan’s petition, big and sharp allegations were made by the Uttar Pradesh government. It has been said on behalf of the Yogi government that Azam Khan is a habitual criminal. He still hasn’t improved. The government’s claim was that Azam Khan said – I am not going to die now. If my government comes, I will avenge each and every one.
Additional Solicitor General SV Raju told the court that serious cases are registered against them. Bail has been granted in three cases. Azam Khan is seeking interim bail from the court. But this should not be allowed. Raju said that many such cases are also registered against him, in which life imprisonment can be done. Attention should also be paid to the cases already registered against him, as he is a habitual criminal and land mafia.
Raju said that even though Azam Khan is a leader. But the cases registered against him on this basis cannot be ignored. He is also threatening the officers who take action against him. They say that if the government comes, I will definitely take revenge. The ASG read out Azam Khan’s threats to the officers in the courtroom. On this, the Supreme Court said that this is not a threat, this is what the leaders say every day. The court said that bail is a separate matter and after that jail is a separate matter.
Kapil Sibal, who is advocating Azam Khan, said that he has been in jail for two years. So how can he threaten anyone? His argument was that the UP government was keeping Azam in jail for political enmity. Sibal said that his client has nothing to do with that school. He doesn’t run that school. is its chairman. Keep in mind that the new case against Azam Khan is for obtaining a no-objection certificate for the school with a forged document.
Sibal said that he may register some more cases again to arrest his client but cannot continue with the cases. After hearing the arguments of both the sides, the court has reserved the decision. Last week, the Supreme Court had raised questions about Azam Khan registering a new case as soon as he got bail.
