New Delhi: After the quick action of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Indian Air Force’s C-130J Super Hercules transport aircraft carrying the bodies of the victims of Kuwait fire reached Delhi’s Palam Airport today. There was mourning among the families on seeing the bodies of their loved ones. This Indian Air Force aircraft was sent to Kuwait on the instructions of PM Modi. BJP MPs Yogendra Chandeliya, Kamaljit Sehrawat, Bansuri Swaraj and other leaders were present when the bodies of the deceased were unloaded at Palam Technical Airport.
Union Minister of State for External Affairs Kirtivardhan Singh said that usually this process would have taken at least 15 days. But on the request of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, we were able to bring back the bodies of 45 Indians so soon. This is a very sad incident. PM Modi became worried as soon as he heard the news. He immediately called an emergency meeting to help the Kuwait victims and sent me to Kuwait City. He said that our Foreign Minister talked to the Foreign Minister of Kuwait. Then we went there and met their Foreign Minister and Health Minister. They helped us a lot. We also met the injured and their doctors in the hospital. The doctors assured that the injured people will recover soon.
The injured will be discharged soon
Kirti Vardhan Singh said that most of the injured Indians undergoing treatment in Kuwaiti hospitals will be discharged in the next 1, 2 days. Only 1 person is in critical condition. He has been kept in the ICU. After the fire, the smoke went into people’s lungs, due to which the health of many people deteriorated. All of them are being treated. Some people also have fractures in their hands and legs. Everyone is being treated. The Indian Embassy is monitoring the condition of all the injured and is constantly in touch with them. Even before our team reached there, PM Modi had spoken to the Emir of Kuwait and others. This helped us a lot. (ANI)
