ICE said Jaspal Singh died at an Atlanta hospital on April 15. Singh, an Indian citizen, first entered the US legally on October 25, 1992. On January 21, 1998, an immigration judge ordered Singh to leave the United States, after which Singh voluntarily returned to India. Singh tried to enter the US illegally again on June 29, 2023, but authorities arrested him at the US-Mexico border.
