Abu Dhabi: A new advisory has been issued for Indian citizens stranded in the floods in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Indian Embassy in Dubai has issued an advisory to Indian passengers traveling through Dubai International Airport to reschedule non-essential travel until operations return to normal following heavy rainfall in the city this week. The Indian Embassy has advised its citizens to avoid non-essential travels.
Let us tell you that the United Arab Emirates is trying to recover from the heavy rains this week, due to which there has been massive flooding in Dubai and surrounding areas. The embassy said UAE authorities were working around the clock to bring the situation back to normal. Meanwhile, airport authorities have advised that passengers can travel from the airport only after receiving confirmed information from the respective airlines regarding departure date and timing of flights.
Stay home until operations return to normal
The number of flights at Dubai International Airport has been temporarily limited due to adverse weather conditions in the UAE earlier this week, an Indian Embassy advisory said. “Indian passengers traveling to or from Dubai International Airport are advised to reschedule non-essential travel until operations return to normal,” the embassy advisory said. The Consulate General of India in Dubai has launched an emergency helpline number from April 17 to assist Indian nationals at Dubai International Airport. (Language)
