Lahore: A Sikh Indian pilgrim who had traveled from India to Pakistan has died of a heart attack. A Pakistani official has given information about this. Evacuee Trust Property Board spokesperson Aamir Hashmi said that Sardar Jangir Singh (67), a resident of Patiala, died after suffering a heart attack on Monday. He said the body was handed over to Indian security personnel at the Wagah border.
Doctors declared him dead
Evacuee Trust Property Board spokesperson Aamir Hashmi said that Jangir Singh suffered a heart attack during his stay at Gurdwara Dera Sahib Lahore. He was immediately taken to Mayo Hospital in Lahore, where doctors declared him dead.
2400 Sikh pilgrims went to Pakistan
Meanwhile, around 2,400 Indian Sikh pilgrims, who reached Pakistan via Wagah border on April 13 to participate in the Baisakhi festival, left for their homeland on Monday. During this, Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee head and Punjab Minister Sardar Ramesh Singh Arora, PSGPC members and ETPB officials saw him off at the Wagah border. Sardar Ramesh Singh said that we are always ready to welcome guests from neighboring countries.
Where did the Indian Sikhs go?
Let us tell you that, during their 10-day stay, Indian Sikhs participated in the main festivities at Gurdwara Panja Sahib Hasan Abdal. The pilgrims also visited Gurdwara Janmasthan Nankana Sahib, Gurdwara Sachcha Sauda Sheikhupura, Gurdwara Darbar Sahib, Kartarpur, Gurdwara Rori Sahib, Gujranwala and Gurdwara Dera Sahib Lahore.
