New Delhi. Recently, a video went viral on social media. In which the employees of Indigo airline at Ranchi airport refused to allow a disabled child to board the flight. It can be clearly seen in the video that is going viral that this child is distressed with hunger, thirst and anxiety, but it did not go unnoticed. IndiGo employees said that due to this, other passengers may get into trouble. However, in this case, IndiGo issued a statement saying that the child was nervous about traveling in the plane. Because of which that child was stopped. On the one hand, after the matter came to light, the aviation regulator DGCA has started an investigation into the incident. On the other hand, Union Civil Aviation and Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has also reacted to this.
Here is the video of the incident that happened at Ranchi airport where @IndiGo6E airlines denies boarding to a special need child along with his child.
Seems lack of empathy from Indigo staff, not the first time though.
Indigo to issue a statement shortly. @JM_Scindia https://t.co/5ixUDZ009a pic.twitter.com/SyTNgAQIT6— Dibyendu Mondal (@dibyendumondal) May 8, 2022
Union Minister Scindia tweeted in the matter and wrote, “We will absolutely not tolerate such behavior. No human being should go through this kind of situation. I am personally probing the matter, after which appropriate action will be taken.”
There is zero tolerance towards such behaviour. No human being should have to go through this! Investigating the matter by myself, post which appropriate action will be taken. https://t.co/GJkeQcQ9iW

Apart from this, a delegation of doctors was also present among the passengers of the same flight who requested the officer to allow the child to travel. But, all the requests and arguments went in vain. The plane took off for Hyderabad leaving behind three passengers including the child and his parents.
